How many points did Bronny James score in his second NBA Summer League game?Grayson  Preston Not many! And that's OK!

The Summer League is all about development for players still in the beginning stages of their careers. And James, the 55th overall pick in the draft, certainly needs plenty of it after spending just one season at USC that was partially derailed by a serious medical situation last summer.

Wednesday night against the Miami Heat, James scored just three points on 1-for-3 shooting. He missed his only 3-point attempt and went 1-for-2 from the line as the Los Angeles Lakers lost 80-76.

He did fill the stat sheet in other ways, pulling down five rebounds, dishing out three assists, blocking three shots and coming away with two steals. He was second on the team with a plus-8 rating in his 29 minutes.

They're underwhelming totals to be sure, but no late second-round pick has ever been under the microscope like James is. That comes with the territory, though, when you're drafted by your father's team — and your father happens to be the NBA's all-time leading scorer.

James scored four points on 2-for-9 shooting in the Lakers' Summer League opener and missed their second contest. The Lakers' Summer League squad has yet to win.
